Dear diary.....dear world!

Hello everyone! Let me first start by introducing myself.  My name is Samantha (most call me Sam).  I am 25 years old working full time.  This blog is my attempt at laying everything out on the table and set the record straight, for myself at least.

Since I was a teenager, I've been struggling with trying to find myself in this world.  On many occasions, I've been advised by teachers, guidance counsellors, friends and family to find what I'm truly passionate about and make a career out of it.  For some lucky ones, that was an easy task.  For me, well, it didn't come as easily.  I simply couldn't bring myself to choose one thing I was passionate about for which I can follow for the rest of my life.  I simply loved so many different things such as fashion, artistry, interior designing, writing, baking and the list goes on and on.  I can't even pick one genre of music I love the most.

As a result, I jumped from one job to the next fresh off one semester in college.  I worked as a cashier in a grocery store, to a receptionist in a language school, a call centre representative in an airline and health insurance company, an assistant in a car insurance company and finally to a customer service representative in an aeronautical company where I currently work.  Mind you, I gained a lot of experience and succeeded tremendously.  I always gave 110% in all of my work.  I guess that stemmed from me wanting to be a people pleaser.  But regardless, I was just not passionate about these jobs.  Often times my mind would drift off into Neverland and I would imagine myself doing something I loved.  Something that ignited a flame in me and brought upon excitement.  Once I returned to planet earth, I suddenly remembered how some would say that it is not always possible to earn a living doing what you love.  You just have to find a job that pays well to earn a living.  Even though that notion did not sit well with me, I swallowed their feedback and went with it for all of my working years.

Until one night, I found myself reading through different blogs from a website that consistently feeds me daily blog content.  One of them was about a woman who travelled the world for a living.  Not only did she love what she did but she earned money from doing it.  Going through glorious photo after glorious photo, paragraph after paragraph of her posts, I was suddenly very inspired by this writer.  She struck a cord in me and made me realize that IT IS important to do what you love.  Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life!  Now that sat well with me.

In that moment, I came to the conclusion that I should embrace how I love so many different things and how I am unable to simply follow one passion for the remainder of my life.  I love everything (almost) and want to do them all without limitations.  And the best part of all, I can do it!  Audrey Hepburn had once said "Nothing is impossible; the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"

So this blog, dear readers, is my world where I will share with you all the things I love.  I will also take you down my journey to other projects I have in mind.  All this in hopes to achieve my passions and to hopefully inspire you to do the same.  We are a limitless, boundless and bountiful bunch and the more we do for ourselves, the more we can do for others.

Love Sam x.
